Assistant Principal - Doreen Wheat

Hello Wildcat Families! 

I am originally from Staten Island, New York, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. In 2005, I moved to Horry County, beginning my journey in education. With nineteen years of experience, I have served as a teacher, Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal. I hold a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Coastal Carolina University. I am passionate about supporting students, families, and staff to create a thriving learning community. Outside of work, my husband and I have two wonderful sons, and we love spending time together and exploring new places through travel.

I look forward to working with the students and families of Waccamaw in making this a great school year!
