Assistant Principal - Doreen Wheat

I moved to Horry County ten years ago from Staten Island, New York. While in New York I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I earned my Master’s Degree from Coastal Carolina University in Educational Administration and Leadership. I am also National Board Certified in Early Childhood Generalist. I currently reside in Carolina Forest with my husband Bucky.  I have taught first grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, and was an Elementary Instructional Coach during my ten years in the Horry County School District. I am excited to be working with the students, parents, community, and staff of Waccamaw Elementary School and making this a great school year!
